Communication skills

RECOMMENDATIONS TO DEVELOP LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
  • Use simple language to comment on the child's actions during every day activities.
  • Do not ask the child questions that require him to label or comment.
  • Use specific language and gestures to praise the child, for example, when he correctly responds to instructions, we say "Good listening".
  • The child should be told what you want him to do and not what you do not want him to do. For example, if he throws a cup on the floor, the adult should say "Pick the cup up" and not "Don't throw your cup on the floor."
  • Spend five minutes daily with the child, which is his special time and he chooses the toys and activities. During this time, The child should not be pressurized to talk. The adult playing with the child should wait for him to start the talking, not direct his play or comment on his actions.
